Mumbai, May 13 -- For the last few weeks, rumours have been doing the rounds that Emraan Hashmi has signed a new movie with the Bhatt family banner, Vishesh Films. However, sources close to the actor tell a different story.
"Emraan hasn't signed any movie with the Bhatts. Recently, many news reports suggested that he had taken on a project which will be directed by Vikram Bhatt, but Emraan hasn't confirmed anything yet. On the other hand, Ekta Kapoor's Balaji Motion Pictures has two scripts ready for him and he is considering them," says the insider. The source adds that though the Bhatts are like family to Emraan, he considers Ekta extremely lucky for him.
The source says, "Emraan is looking to work with Balaji. Their past association in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai (2010) and The Dirty Picture (2011) brought him great success. Plus, he's already working on another yet-untitled project with Balaji. The film stars Kareena Kapoor and is being co-produced by Karan Johar."
Interestingly, out of the two scripts that Balaji has offered the actor, one will be made into a film to be directed by Vikram Bhatt. The source says, "He hasn't signed on the dotted line yet, but he prefers to do another Ekta film at this point."
We tried contacting Emraan, but he remained unavailable for a comment.
