Mumbai, Jan. 20 -- Emraan Hashmi is trying to set a special track record for himself, quite literally! The music of nearly every film of his has always got the thumbs up from critics and the audience.
The newest addition to his chartbuster list is 'Ishq Sufiyana...' from The Dirty Picture. Following its success, rumours are that the producers and director of Shanghai, have decided to include a Sufi number in the film, picturised on him.
When asked, Emraan smiles, "I believe so. I really can't give you too many details about the track but it has extended our shoot by a day. But we didn't have to work on it beyond one day. And incorporating a song should take Shanghai towards the space of popular films. No one complains if you give them one extra good song to hear."
The actor admits he never pressurises producers and directors to include songs that have the potential to become hits in a film's soundtrack. "But I think producers understand that. They're aware of the sky-high expectations from the scores of films these days. Even if a film doesn't click, good music gives them the means to swim against the tide," says Emraan.
Director Dibakar Banerjee's political thriller toplines Abhay Deol and Kalki Koechlin apart from the serial kisser. "The film is special for all of us. As far as my new song is concerned, I don't know where Dibakar would place it. It's a challenge," adds Emraan who has also wrapped up Jannat 2.
