Mumbai, July 20 -- A few days ago, HT Cafe had reported that director Milan Luthria was having sleepless nights for three weeks because the trailer of his upcoming, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara, had failed to connect with the audience.
The makers even came out with a second promo later. And now, we hear that producer Ekta Kapoor, apparently still unhappy with the buzz around her ambitious franchise, has decided to do something special - the producer is adding a special song in order to add that extra zing to the film.
"Ekta isn't enthused about the buzz that's surrounding her film. So she has asked Pritam (the film's music director) to compose a new, peppy number. And as we speak, he is working hard on the song. To include it in the narrative, the makers also need to shoot an extra scene, which will be done in the coming days," says an industry insider.
The song will be picturised on the film's leads, Akshay Kumar, Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan. "Ekta is planning to spend around R3 crore to promote the song. She plans to go all out with the marketing," adds the insider. The number is expected be shot within a week at an expansive set in Mumbai and the film will release as schedule on August 15. Despite repeated attempts, Ekta couldn't be reached for a comment.
