Mumbai, Sept. 1 -- G ood morning my chocolate pies! Happy Ganesh Chaturthi! The elephant god's visit has inspired my French bawarchi to seek help from some of his Indian friends to stir up some desi delicacies for me.
I can smell puranpoli, kheer and aloo ki sabzi! Hmm, before I relish all of that, I have to tell you what's up with my Bollywoodwalas. So, without much ado, here you go!
I am forced to start this column with trade news today. It seems the film trade circles are talking pretty highly of Agneepath's remake that stars Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt. It seems that they're kicked essentially because the film brings Duggu back to commercial cinema. Understandably, Karan Johar, the producer of the film, is highly elated.
At a press meet organized recently to release the promo of the movie, Karan resembled a lit-up 400-watt bulb. He was smiling at just about everyone he could see. And in the spur of the moment, he ended up announcing that Hrithik calls him by his pet name, Pappu and he calls Hrithik by his pet name Duggu. Ain! I didn't know K Jo was called Pappu. That explains why Shah Rukh Khan calls the kid in the toothpaste add Pappu.
So, Hrithik took cue from his buddy Karan and throughout the press meet, addressed him as Pappu. And Pappu couldn't help but respond to his dost Duggu every time he turned around at him and asked him to speak up. Duggu and Pappu... when will these men grow up!
