Delhi can't wait for Oprah!

New Delhi, April 11 -- Who will she interview? Where all she will go? How long will she stay? These are the questions Delhi is asking after it became official that American TV show host Oprah Winfrey will be coming to India soon.

On Friday, Oprah Winfrey Network announced that Oprah's new travel show, Oprah's Next Chapter, slated for next year will take her to countries such as China and India. "This is thrilling," says Usha Saxena, a DU student and a "self-confessed Oprah junkie" who owns the entire DVD collection of her talk shows. "On her India show, Oprah must hug people, bring tears to their eyes and make us feel great."

While this will be Oprah's first show in India, her India connect goes back to 2001 when her book club picked up Rohinton Mistry's A Fine Balance, an Indian novel set during the Emergency. The book sold thousands of copies in the US and Canada.

Later Oprah invited actress Aishwarya Rai twice on her show. During her first appearance, Rai famously showed the host how to wear a saree. In 2004, Oprah had as guest Nisha Sharma, the Noida girl who sent her would-be groom to jail for demanding dowry. "On her India show, I want Oprah to have Saif Ali Khan, says TV producer, Meenakshi Chauhan. "Only she can get him to speak how he switched from Amrita Singh to Italian girlfriend Rosa Catalano to actress Kareena Kapoor."
