Mumbai, Oct. 15 -- To prepare for her role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next - tentatively titled Ram Leela - Deepika Padukone will be paying a few incognito visits to some famous pandals around the city during Navratri in the coming weeks.
However, since the actor is currently busy with Ayan Mukerji's Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani opposite Ranbir Kapoor, she will only have the time to visit these pandals after hours.
"Deepika plays the part of a traditional Gujarati girl in the film. And to prepare for the role, she wants to get an idea of what these festivities are like. She also wants to get a feel of the culture and see the dance performances. She usually stays actively involved with the films she does," says a source close to the actor.
Though Deepika has visited these pandals in the past as well, those appearances have strictly been made only to promote her films. "This time, she wants to be one among the crowd when the festivities are in progress so she can truly soak in the feel," adds the source.
When contacted, Deepika's spokesperson confirms the news, saying, "She would like to visit these pandals very quietly without people realising anything." The actor, who recently replaced Kareena Kapoor in this film, will be seen opposite Ranveer Singh.
