Mumbai, May 4 -- It isn't every day that you get to see more than two A-list actors in one film. In that respect, Zoya Akhtar's next is a rather unique project, with a cast that includes Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Farhan Akhtar and Anushka Sharma, among other actors.
But that isn't the only aspect that makes the project stand out. We're told that a song in the film has been shot in one fluid take, without a single cut.
"The promotional version is 2 minutes 47 seconds long, and has two cuts, but the song as seen in the film is one long shot," says a source.
The insider informs us that it was a mammoth task planning the shoot of this video, as it included coordinating all the actors' dance moves, lip syncing, and a large group of supporting artistes. "Preparing this video took a long time. Before shooting the final version, they had three mock rehearsals. Even the cast members were gung-ho about shooting it," adds the insider.
Zoya admits that the response to the song has been "very positive and overwhelming". She adds, "It was challenging, but fun. We had to plan every detail before we started shooting. There was a lot of planning and management involved. The song would not have been possible without Bosco Caesar (choreographers) and Carlos Catalan, my DOP (director of photography)."
