Mumbai, April 21 -- It is common for a film star to have a fan following. But often, we have also seen Bollywood stars turn into fans. At last year's HT Leadership Summit, Aamir Khan had his fanboy moment when he met the Hollywood legend, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Football enthusiast Varun Dhawan had his fanboy moment when he met soccer star Robert Pires in 2014. Now, Yami Gautam has joined the league.
Recently, the actor was shooting for an advertisement in Filmcity, Goregaon. During the shoot, she saw film-maker Rajkumar Hirani on the sets, and went up to him to introduce herself.
"As soon as Yami saw Hirani step inside, she was overheard expressing her excitement to see him. She wanted to talk to the film-maker. She then went up to Hirani, and was heard talking about how much she loved all his films, and that she is a fan," says a source close to the actor.
Interestingly, Hirani also spoke about her acting prowess and encouraged her. "Hirani mentioned that he liked her in Vicky Donor (2012), and that she should keep up the good work. Yami was overjoyed to be praised by one of her favourite directors. She then requested him to pose with her for a picture, and without any hesitation, Hirani obliged," adds the source.
When contacted, Yami confirms the news and says, "I had a fangirl moment when I met Raju sir. He is an absolutely lovely person. We had a brief interaction, and I couldn't stop smiling."
