I want to do a mature love story: Vivek Oberoi

New Delhi, Nov. 1 -- Actor Vivek Oberoi, whose performance was appreciated in the love story Saathiya (2002) that released almost at the start of his career, says that he wants to do a love story again, but something that suits his age.

"People often ask me why I don't do another love story since they loved Saathiya so much. I am looking for an age-appropriate love story. It should be a genuine story. I feel that romantic films which are full of fluff are not for me," the 39-year old says.

The actor, who has been a part of many gangster films such as Shootout at Lokhandwala (2007) and Company (2002), says that he is happy that people like him in that role.

"I take this as a compliment. I have played a gangster only in about 10 percent of my films but they have been iconic. I am glad that people have liked me in them," he says.

However this sometimes acts against him too, says Vivek. "People praise you for your work and at times you are forced to take up similar work, which might not be creatively inspiring," he says.

Asked what he thinks about success, the actor says "Success helps you feel empowered and allows you to choose projects. That is what success means to me," he says.
