Mumbai, Jan. 16 -- After playing a mother in Paa (2009), Vidya Balan is again essaying the role of a mom in her upcoming film, Shaadi Ke Side Effects.
And from what we've heard, the actor is apparently taking lessons from her elder sister who is a mother to twins. "When Vidya was approached with the script, her sister became her reference point. She understood the character from her perspective. Her sister was an advertising professional and her life completely changed after the birth of her child," reveals director Saket Chaudhary.
The doting aunt that she is in real life, Vidya was was quick to adapt to the character. A sequel to the 2006 film, Pyaar Ke Side Effects, Shaadi Ke Side Effects features Farhan Akhtar as the male lead. Ask Chaudhary about Farhan's performance since he is a father of two daughters himself, and he says, "He was extremely sensitive when it came to interacting with children on the sets. While shooting certain scenes, he guided us on how to go about handling kids since he knew that they behave in a certain way. So Farhan had lot of interest in that matter," adds Saket.
