Mumbai, May 14 -- Even though he recently released his Hollywood project, Broken Horses, film-maker Vidhu Vinod Chopra feels that the American film industry actually looks down on Bollywood.
"There is no doubt about that. My Hollywood film has been an answer to them, that we know what you do. But we don't do such work because we love our song-and-dance on all occasions. All this is part of our culture, (sic)" Chopra told us in a recent interview.
The film-maker adds that his English film wasn't "just a dream he lived many years for", but "also a statement".
He said, "One dream has been achieved. But I am still young; and I want to do many other things. More studios have approached me after this film. Some big studios want me to make some big films [for them]. If something good comes up, I will do it. Otherwise, my life is going on well. It's not like I am looking for a job for survival."
