Varun Sharma's fan moment!

Mumbai, Nov. 8 -- Fans adore Bollywood stars. Sometimes, celebrities can also find admirers in unexpected places.

Varun Sharma, who starred in Fukrey (2013) and Dilwale (2015), faced a similar situation during his trip to Manali (Himachal Pradesh) and Leh-Ladakh (Jammu & Kashmir) for a TV show.

"Varun had the experience of a lifetime when he was out driving (a truck)in Manali. He was surprised to meet a few young fans, who were very excited to see him at a small village called Turtuk, near Manali. Varun was surprised to find that the people in that village only have electricity for just two to three hours a day," says an insider.

The insider said that the crew stopped for a short break at the village while driving through Manali.

"It was great that the people staying in that area knew Varun; the kids were excited to see him there. In fact, they were calling him, 'Siddhu' (his character's name in Dilwale)," the insider added. Varun was so overwhelmed by their praise that he got a DVD of the film and watched it with them.

Varun says, "It was a beautiful experience. It feels so good when people, who live in places where even basic amenities are rare, know who you are. It was an experience of a lifetime, and I will never forget it."
