Mumbai, Sept. 20 -- Varun Dhawan, who is currently working on Remo D'Souza's upcoming film injured his back badly on the sets a couple of days ago.
But being a professional, Varun continued to shoot as he didn't want to disrupt the schedule. "While filming a dance number, Varun performed a somersault and hurt his back badly. Though he was in acute pain for some time, he didn't want to stall the work at any cost. So he took an injection on the set itself and continued to shoot," says an insider.
Varun was also worried about the fact that if he cancels the shoot, the entire cast and crew will be inconvenienced.
"The cancellation would have meant loss of money and time of everyone involved. That's when he decided that he should finish the shoot despite the injury," adds the insider.
The said dance number also marked the wrap of the first schedule of the film. Now that the schedule is done with, Varun has been recuperating at home. "In the next week or so, he should be completely fine. Varun is catching up on his sleep and taking rest now," adds the insider. When contacted, Varun confirms: "Yes, I had injured my back, but I am on my way to recovery."
