Mumbai, May 13 -- Back in the day, actors were known to be highly secretive about their plans to get married. But the new generation is more intrepid.
Of late, a number of young Bollywood actors have been vocal about their opinions on tying the knot.
The latest in that regard is Ranbir Kapoor, who recently announced his marriage to Katrina Kaif, in an interview to a magazine, putting months of speculation to rest. He was quoted saying, "I'm thinking of getting married towards the end of next year. Till now, that's the plan for me and her."
Shahid Kapoor, too, confirmed his marriage plans at HT Mumbai's Most Stylish in March.
Sushant Singh Rajput revealed that, next year, he will tie the knot with girlfriend Ankita Lokhande.
Others like Varun Dhawan, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Kangana Ranaut have not made any formal announcements, but they have openly shared their views on the subject.
Last month, while speaking about marriage, the National Award-winning actor made it clear that she felt she was too young to settle down. She also said that "working girls shouldn't get married before 35". While speaking to HT, she said, "It is almost next to impossible for me to marry someone from this industry. I don't have any concrete plans for marriage right now because my films are my priority."
On his birthday (April 24), when we asked Varun what his wedding plans were, he said, "Not this year for sure. Let us see what state of mind I am in next year. I am trying to take each day as it comes. My priority right now is to work and entertain people."
Shahid shocked his female fans in March when he announced his upcoming wedding to Delhi girl Mira Rajput. Rumours claim that the wedding ceremony is set to take place in Greece this year. "Engagement hasn't happened, but marriage is on the cards at the end of the year... she's just a regular girl, and I am a regular guy... I am very happy," Shahid had said to us.
