Mumbai, June 7 -- They represent two completely different schools of acting. Still, when Varun Dhawan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui shared screen space for the first time earlier this week while shooting for Sriram Raghavan's next, the latter was apparently "full of praise" for the young actor.
"It was for the first time that they both came face-to-face on the set. And Varun was quite surprised and excited when Nawaz had good things to say about him.
He told Varun, 'It's great that you are taking on such challenging roles at this stage of your career'," says an insider. Although the two actors didn't have a lot of time to sit and chat (as they both were in character for the scene being shot), they caught up with each other after the shoot got over. In one of our earlier interviews, Varun, had spoken highly of Nawaz, saying, "I'm looking forward to working with him. I am just going to observe and listen to what all he does. I really like and admire his work."
Although Nawaz couldn't be reached for a comment, while speaking to us a few days ago, he had mentioned, "Varun is an extremely bright boy. And he has worked hard on this film." The yet-untitled project, which is currently being shot in Pune, also stars Yami Gautam, Huma Qureshi and Vinay Pathak among others.
