Mumbai, July 9 -- In his 2009 hit, Salman Khan has a famous line: 'Once I have made a commitment, then I don't even listen to myself '. And it looks like Varun Dhawan follows the same motto in real life.
On Monday (July 7), when Varun was on his way back to Mumbai from Pune, he developed a high fever. But he already had a commitment for a public event in Ghatkopar.
"Since Varun had a high fever, it was suggested that the event should be called off. But he said that since he has already committed, he won't back off due to the illness. So, he accompanied Alia (Bhatt, co-star) to the venue as planned earlier," says an insider close to the actor.
Although Varun had been advised by the organisers to "take it easy" at the event, he danced and sang for his fans. "If you look at the pictures, you can tell that he was under the weather. But he clarified to the organisers that since so many people had turned up, he will do whatever was originally planned," adds the insider. Despite repeated attempts, Varun, who was in Delhi for another event, couldn't be reached for a comment.
