Mumbai, Jan. 25 -- After working with the likes of Salman Khan, Govinda and Karisma Kapoor, David Dhawan will soon be directing his son for the first time in Main Tera Hero (MTH). And the director reveals that Varun, in fact, is the youngest actor that he has ever worked with.
A source close to the film's unit reveals, "David sir was quite excited from the beginning to direct his son. Plus, it's the kind of genre that he is popular for, so it was all the more fun for him. The film is a rom-com and happens to be Varun's second film (the actor made his debut in Karan Johar's Student of the Year, 2012), so David sir was very particular about everything. And Varun, too, was keen on learning from his father."
The first trailer of the film, which was released on January 23, prominently features Varun and his two leading ladies - Nargis Fakhri and Ileana D'Cruz. It had already crossed four lakh hits on YouTube at the time of going to the press. Ask the film-maker about this and he says, "MTH is a special film since I have directed my son for the first time and he is the youngest hero I have ever worked with. Directing Varun was like working with any other young actor. In fact, I was stricter with him than I was with Ileana and Nargis. On the sets, we strictly shared a directoractor relationship."
