New Delhi, Feb. 20 -- Move over high security star events in town; celebrities are stuck on a new stage - campus fests. As Delhi University gets into the thick of its annual cultural festivities, this year's lineup of performances and appearances by showbiz personalities is only getting bigger.
Actors Varun Dhawan, Yami Gautam and Nawazuddin Siddiqui clubbed their film promotions with a high octane performance at several colleges recently. "It is always an amazing feeling to be back in DU," Dhawan said at one of the events.
The season began with Lady Shri Ram College for Women's annual fest, Tarang, where Indo-Pak sufi band Raeth performed when stand-up comedian Kanan Gill didn't turn up due to illness.
"Delhi is our second home. Performing in front of LSR college girls is amazing," said Sunny Ghansham of Raeth. Gill, however, left the audience in splits a few days later at Gargi College's annual fest, Reverie. Singer Anushka Manchanda also performed there. "I had seen KK perform a few years ago at a college fest and had always wanted to perform at some college fest. Life has come full circle," she said.
