Mumbai, Feb. 20 -- Be it for its unconventional casting, groovy music or its intriguing trailer, Badlapur has emerged as one of the most anticipated releases of 2015.
Although this gripping tale of love and revenge releases today, a few from Bollywood have already seen the film. And they can't stop raving about the treatment, the storyline and the power-packed performances by the cast, that includes Varun Dhawan, Yami Gautam, Huma Qureshi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
"Badlapur is absolutely stunning. Varun has made us so proud. He is exceptional. And it doesn't get better than Nawaz. It's a must-watch," says film-maker Karan Johar.
Director Homi Adajania has similar things to say about the movie. "Badlapur impresses with Sriram Raghavan's inimitable style of direction. I love his narrative, the idea of unknowingly becoming everything you want to destroy. It's a psychological roller-coaster with such effortless portrayals of difficult characters. We all have to back cinema like this in order to help it grow creatively."
The critics were amazed as well. Film critic Raja Sen, in his review says, "Bareknuckled bloody blast."
