New Delhi, Aug. 1 -- Actor Tisca Chopra who happens to be a Delhi University graduate, says that her days spent in college were the best days of her life. She gets nostalgic when she talks about her Hindu College days. "Fortunately, I had decent marks in my 12th standard and had a choice of a few colleges, but I always wanted Hindu," she says. "In the first day of college, I was ragged, but nicely. And when we became friendly with the seniors, they took us around the college and treated us to the Hindu college staple - the Bun-Anda," she recalls.
Tisca has many such memorable college moments. She shares, "There was so much to do in college; I actively took part in Mecca (the annual cultural festival), in the debates and the staging of plays. I even wrote and directed one play that turned out to be quite a hit," says the 40-yearold. "I guess my interest in acting further firmed up in college, as we had the most encouraging faculty," she adds.
Ask her about her favourite spot in the college and Tisca says, "The canteen for sure! We could cut a few hours classes, but it seemed like just a few minutes there." So does she believe that Hindu College is the best college? "Everyone knows Hindu College is the best! It is the place to be at, if you want to be a well rounded personality. Look around - Imtiaz Ali, Arjun Rampal, Vishal and Rekha Bhardwaj and so many others who will admit that Hindu gave them the first impetus towards creativity. I am so glad I went to Hindu and I will always vouch for it... again and again," says the actor.
