Mumbai, Sept. 30 -- A bunch of Bollywood actors have been showing interest in singing of late. Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit are but a few among them.
And now, it's critically acclaimed actor Tabu, who's been busy polishing her vocal chords. The 42-year-old has sung a song for her next, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. "Acting is my first love, but music interests me a lot too. I love singing because it helps me express things that are inside me. I've recently recorded a song too. But now, I want to continue singing for Bollywood films and I hope that people appreciate it," says Tabu.
Tabu mentions that music composers from the industry are aware of her love for music, and that she will soon announce some collaborations. "Vishal (Bhardwaj) knows that I love singing. I hope we come up with an album together. He is a brilliant musician himself and I like his work. I want to collaborate with people I am comfortable with," she says.
Another name on her list is Anu Malik. Tabu reveals that she has had a word with the composer about the possibility of making music together. "I spoke to Anu Malik about it as well. In fact, we connect on music. I always credit him for giving me numerous hits during the beginning of my career. Hopefully we'll collaborate and produce something good," says the actor.
