New Delhi, June 24 -- Actor Swara Bhaskar, who is thrilled with the response to her film Tanu Weds Manu Returns, says that she has struggled to reach the position she currently enjoys in the industry.
"I am not a star child or an industry insider. I have worked my way up through the audition route," she says.
Swara, who plays the role of Tannu's friend Payal Rathore in the film, says that she never expected people to love her character. "It was Datto's story and there were actors like Kangana (Ranaut) and Madhavan in the film, I never thought that people would enjoy my role so much. I knew they would like the film, but the audience liking my role is amazing," she says, adding that she would love to be in the third part of the film as well. "I am possessive about my roles and I would love to be a part of it. But I guess Anand (L Rai, director) will like to move on to newer talent."
