Mumbai, Feb. 23 -- Sushant Singh Rajput's look in his upcoming period film, in which he plays a detective, seems to have inspired a bunch of students in the city. The students of KJ Somaiya College of Engineering, Vidyavihar, are organising a fashion show that will reinvent ensembles from the 1940s era that the film is set in.
Interestingly, the organisers will have none other than the star of the movie, Sushant, as the chief guest at the event that takes place on February 25. "Models will walk the ramp in Indian outfits in an innovative style. They came up with the theme only after watching the trailer of the Dibakar Banerjee film. They were impressed with Sushant's look in the movie," says a source.
Once they finalised the concept, the organisers approached Sushant and briefed him about the event. "The actor was glad to hear that he had inspired the students. He was interested in being part of the event from the beginning," says the source.
When contacted, Sushant confirmed the news, and said, "I am looking forward to the fashion show. It will be interesting to see the participants experiment with garments like the dhoti."
