New Delhi, March 20 -- Sushant Singh Rajput has a passionate kiss with his co-actor Swastika Mukherjee in Dibakar Banerjee's next, but the 29-year-old actor says that it does not bother his girlfriend of seven years, Anikta Lokhande.
"Ankita is a professional actor and she knows that this is part of the profession. She has found a way to be okay with the idea of this (such scenes). This is hardly a discussion that I have with her," says Rajput, who has recently announced that he will tie the knot with Ankita possibly by the end of the year.
While he has been appreciated for his acting prowess and for playing absolutely different characters in films such as Kai Po Che (2013), Shuddh Desi Romance (2013) and PK (2014), Sushant says that it is always a challenge to get into the skin of the character.
"This step is complicated as it is tough to let go of the person that you really are. The most difficult part of the process is to let go of your own personality ... that is tough, but it is also the first step," says Sushant, who will play a popular character from a Bengali detective series in the film.
However, the actor is thrilled with the pace at which his career is advancing in the industry. "I cannot complain. I will be the last person to complain. Everything that is happening to me now is wonderful. I am working with these amazing filmmakers and living my dream," he says.
Although many of his contemporaries want to stick to acting, Sushant says that he would not mind donning the director's hat in the future. "Anything that is related to filmmaking fascinates me ... I often read books related to all aspects of filmmaking. You never know!" he says.
