New Delhi, Aug. 8 -- A segment of Sonam Kapoor's upcoming film has been shot inside a palace in Bikaner. And, as a gesture of gratitude for allowing the makers to shoot inside the structure and for helping them with shooting arrangements, Sonam recently hosted a dinner for Bikaner princess, Siddhi Kumari.
"The makers received a lot of support from the royal family while they were shooting in and around Bikaner. So when Sonam found out that Siddhi was in Mumbai for some work, she immediately reached out to her and invited her over for dinner," says a source.
"This was Sonam's way of thanking her for being so cooperative and helping the makers with the shooting arrangements," adds the insider. Apparently, Sonam's mother, Sunita, also joined them at the dinner table. However, sister Rhea and father Anil Kapoor couldn't make it as they had prior commitments.
Confirming the news, Sonam says, "It was a private dinner and I do not wish to reveal details about it. Yes, there are fond memories of Bikaner since we spent a lot of time shooting there."
The upcoming film is a remake of a popular 1980 hit starring Rekha. It will also mark the Bollywood debut of popular Pakistani actor, Fawad Khan.
