Mumbai, Feb. 17 -- It's confirmed now that Sonam Kapoor will be playing the role of late flight attendant Neerja Bhanot in director Ram Madhvani's upcoming movie. The film-maker had said that he had been working on the script for a year-and-a-half, and that he could only visualise Sonam fitting the bill.
Now, with Sonam on board, the film's casting agents are on a lookout for four actors for supporting roles in the biopic. For the same, they have put up posts on the social networking site, Facebook (FB), asking interested candidates to send in their resumes and photographs.
The casting crew has described one of the characters on FB as a "cute, loving boyfriend between the age group of 25 to 30 years". The person selected for this part will apparently play the lead roler opposite Sonam. The details about the shooting are yet to be revealed.re
The film is based on the tragic incident in which Neerja lostlo her life while saving passengers on a plane that was hijacked in 1986. She had shieldedsh three children from bullets when terrorists opened fire on the aircraft after a 17-hour ordeal.
