New Delhi, Sept. 21 -- Actor Sonam Kapoor, like many others, had recently spoken in support of fellow actor Deepika Padukone when the latter took a stand against an English daily that published pictures of her cleavage and headlined it 'OMG: Deepika Padukone's cleavage show'.
However, when Sonam was asked for her views on the issue at a recent media event, she raised a few eyebrows by saying, "As long as women stop objectifying themselves, people will stop objectifying them."
On being prodded further, she said, "No, that's more than enough. I think we have spoken so much on it already. That's what I said ... people have to respect themselves first for people to respect them. I hope that answers your question."
At an earlier press meet, Sonam had said, "It's sad that women are constantly being objectified, be it kissing scenes or wearing bikinis."
