Mumbai, Dec. 3 -- Sonam Kapoor is perhaps one of the most stylish actors in Bollywood. Giving more meaning to her fashionista image, now the 29-year-old is set to auction some of her clothes to help women suffering from breast cancer.
A source close to the actor says, "Sonam felt that selling clothes for the good of people would be the best thing she could do. She is sure that her fans will buy her outfits and since it is for a cause, that will only encourage them to participate."
The actor's aunt Mona Kapoor (Arjun Kapoor's mother) had passed away in 2012 due to breast cancer, and since then Sonam has been working towards spreading awareness for the cause. The actor will start uploading images of her outfits on her social networking accounts from the second week of December. The money raised through the auction will then be given to the NGO Ogaan Foundation (that works to create awareness about breast cancer).
When contacted, Sonam confirms the news, saying, "Everyone seems to know someone with breast cancer; I lost my aunt to it. Detecting cancer early is the only way to fight it and that requires awareness about tests and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I hope I can make a difference in my own way with this activity."
