Mumbai, Nov. 11 -- On their arrival in Jodhpur for the shoot of their upcoming film, the Kapoor sisters - Sonam and Rhea - got a taste of the royal hospitality that Rajasthan is famous for. The ladies, who were there to film a portion of the remake of Hrishikesh Mukherjee's 1980 hit film, Khoobsurat, received a surprise invitation from designer Raghavendra Rathore for a gala dinner at his palace.
The designer, who belongs to a royal family of the city, also extended the invite to the entire unit of the film. "Raghavendra hosted the party the night before the team was to start shooting.
Both Sonam and Rhea (who is producing the film), and the director of the film, Shashank Ghosh, were pleased to be invited and welcomed in such a grand way by Raghavendra and his family," says an insider from the unit. The source adds, "The dinner was a grand affair and featured a huge spread of local delicacies cooked in traditional Rajasthani style.
The entire team had a wonderful time. Everyone was very excited to get a taste of the local culture." Sonam's spokesperson confirms, saying, "Sonam and Rhea were very glad with the whole gesture." The film is being shot at different locations in the state.
Interestingly, the makers have exercised a lot of secrecy around the identity of the male lead of the film. The role was played by now-actorturned- film-maker Rakesh Roshan in the original.
