Mumbai, April 26 -- It was a show of wit and glamour at the India TV Yuva Awards in the Capital, where Bollywood actors Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, HRD Minister Smriti Irani, Home Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, Sarod maestros Amaan and Ayaan Ali Khan, singer Javed Ali, TV stars Mohit Raina and Digangana Suryavanshi, sports stars Suresh Raina and PV Sindhu, and noted businesspersons Neha Kirpal and Rahul Sharma were felicitated for their work in their respective fields.
India TV Chairman and editor-in-chief Rajat Sharma said, "With US, China, Europe and Japan set to age around 2020, India is destined to emerge as the world's youngest superpower. The awards are a celebration of our evergrowing potential."
The event, hosted by Manish Paul, saw union ministers Venkaiah Naidu, Piyush Goyal, VK Singh, Dharmendra Pradhan, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Jitendra Singh, Mahesh Sharma, cabinet ministers Dr Harsh Vardhan and Radha Mohan Singh, Congress leaders Janardan Dwivedi, Salman Khurshid and Samajwadi Party leader Ram Gopal Yadav along with actor Shartughan Sinha, giving away the honours. Also spotted were singers Daler Mehndi, Palak Muchhal and Jasbir Jassi.
