New Delhi, Dec. 13 -- It has been a week since the unfortunate night when a 25-year old woman was raped by a cab driver in the Capital. The anger hasn't died down, and many from Bollywood have joined the chorus asking for stricter laws.
The latest is actor Shenaz Treasurywala, who has written an open letter to the Prime Minister and actors Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, demanding that they use their influence to take it up as the "no1 issue".
Actor Akshay Kumar has also lashed out saying, "The punishment should be to castrate every person convicted of rape."
Actor Varun Dhawan has called the incident "shameful for the nation", urging action.
Actor Sonam Kapoor says it is the mindset that need to change. "The punishment and the rules have to be more stringent from the government's side. Are you saying that if rape takes place in a public transport vehicle, they are going to ban public transport?"
