Mumbai, Aug. 21 -- Sohail Khan's last outing as an actor was in Veer (2010). Post that, he directed Jai Ho that released earlier this year. Apparently, Sohail is now planning to make a comeback to acting after a gap of four years with Vikas Bahl's next film, featuring Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
"In all likelihood, Sohail will be playing an important role in the film. Shahid might be the male lead, but Sohail also has a crucial part in it. Although the makers are tight-lipped about it right now, he is almost confirmed for the film," says an insider.
Despite repeated attempts, Bahl and Sohail couldn't be reached for a comment. However, earlier this year, Sohail had told us that he is "open to it (acting), agar kuch accha mile toh (if I get something good)." He had said, "Though I have not been a successful actor, I have learnt a lot, which I brought into my direction. I have my own learning process in each and everything that I do. Even when I was acting, becoming a star was never my motive. I love to learn new things while working with other actors and directors."
