New Delhi, May 21 -- Be it learning new dance styles, martial arts or languages, actors are often required to grasp new skills to do justice to their characters and to make them look authentic.
While it was recently reported that actor Sidharth Malhotra had to learn scuba diving for one of the scenes in his upcoming film, he will now be attending classes to learn Gujarati.
"In order to get into his character, Sidharth will be attending a workshop to learn the perfect Gujarati accent and to understand the nuances of the language. He is from Delhi and doesn't have many Gujarati friends, so the language is absolutely new to him," says a source close to the actor.
In his last film, Hasee Toh Phasee, Sidharth was seen amid a Gujarati family, but he did not speak the language on screen. "However, this time, it is essential for him to learn the language, as he plays the protagonist in Vikramaditya Motwane's film. Sidharth is excited about learning it," adds the source.
