Mumbai, March 16 -- Shruti Haasan has lent her voice to a few film songs, including 'Joganiyan' (Tevar) and 'Sannata' (Shamitabh) this year. Now, in her film with Akshay Kumar, she is finally getting a chance to sing a track that will be picturised on her. The actor recorded the track recently, finishing the process in just an hour.
A source close to the actor reveals, "Shruti was shooting in Pollachi village near Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. It's among the six films that the actor has lined up this year, so among those shoots and her brand commitments, she had only half a day to complete the recording."
The actor took a flight to Mumbai after a two-hour drive to Coimbatore, and she headed straight to the recording studio. "She had prepared for the recording in advance, so the music director got what he wanted from her within an hour, post which she took a flight back to resume her shoot in Pollachi," adds the source.
When contacted, Shruti confirmed the news and added that though hectic, the experience was worth it. She said, "It was a lot of fun. I like trying out different genres and this was special as I'm in the song."
