Mumbai, April 27 -- Shraddha Kapoor may be busy shooting these days, but she adjusted her schedule to attend her grandfather, Pt Pandharinath Kolhapure's, felicitation ceremony.
And she had more than one reason to attend the ceremony on April 24. Besides watching her grandfather being honoured for his contribution to Indian music, Shraddha was excited about meeting veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar.
The legendary artiste presented the Deenanath Mangeshkar Award to Pt Kolhapure and Shraddha, who is a big fan, did not want to miss out on the opportunity to meet her.
"Shraddha is a music lover and has high regards for Lataji. As soon as she came to know that her grandfather was being felicitated by her, she worked around her shooting schedule and made an appearance at the do," says a source close to the actor.
Apart from Shraddha, her mother, Shivangi, and aunts, Padmini and Tejaswini Kolhapure, were also present at the ceremony. "It was a huge honour for our father. Our entire family was part of the celebration," says Padmini.
When contacted, Shraddha says, "It was an extremely proud moment for me and my family to see my grandfather's achievements being acknowledged. I am glad that I got to meet and interact with my idol, Lata aaji (grandmother) after a long time. She has been one of the biggest inspirations in my life."
