Mumbai, Jan. 14 -- Shiv Darshan is all set to make his debut with Karle Pyaar Karle, which is produced by his father, Suneel Darshan. As the film nears its release date, the young actor is catching the attention of Bollywood bigwigs like actor Akshay Kumar and film-maker Mahesh Bhatt.
After watching the film's promos recently, Mahesh took to a social networking site, where he posted his views, comparing Shiv with a young Sanjay Dutt. He wrote, "Shiv Darshan who makes his debut in Karle Pyaar Karle reminds me of Sanjay Dutt of Naam (1986)."
Akshay also posted on a micro-blogging site recently, saying, "Looking forward to seeing the boy who literally grew up in front of me, Shiv Darshan in Karle Pyaar Karle releasing next month, produced by my director of many films, Suneel Darshan. Wishing the father-son duo all the very best! (sic)'
Shiv, of course, is thrilled with the response. "Maheshji has been really kind, supportive and encouraging. He saw the song 'Tanhaiye' and that's when he wrote that I remind him of Sanjay Dutt from Naam. I felt really good that my work has been appreciated," he says, adding, "Akshay sir has, in fact, also called up my father to let him know that he has liked the film's promos. It's a high for me and I hope that people too will appreciate our film and my performance."
