New Delhi, March 21 -- Actor Shahzahn Padamsee has found a father figure in Mahesh Bhatt on the sets of her upcoming film that marks the acting debut of the filmmaker. While the 27-year old is very happy about the way her role has shaped up in the film, she gives a lot of credit to Bhatt for his constant encouragement that she feels has actually brought out the best in her.
"I'm playing a very different role in this film compared to the other roles that I have played so far, and it would not have been possible without Mahesh ji's tremendous help and support throughout," says Shahzahn, who's featured in Bollywood films including Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year (2009) and Housefull 2: The Dirty Dozen (2012).
Meanwhile Bhatt, who plays a monk in Shahzahn's latest, is a doting dad in real life, too. He's known to be an inspiration to many, including his daughters Pooja, Alia, Shaheen, and son, Rahul. So it's not surprising that Shahzahn, too, found a mentor in him. "I have learnt a lot from Mahesh ji. He is like my father when it comes to principle and discipline," says Shahzahn.
