Mumbai, Nov. 9 -- There are many instances of star sons using their famous parents' clout to advance their careers. While some fathers star in films in which their son is the leading man, others pour money into their children's projects. But now, actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha's son, Luv Sinha, is using his father's political influence for a film that he is producing.
Luv, along with his brother Kush and sister Sonakshi, is reviving the family's banner, Shotgun Films. He is set to shoot his debut production with director Umesh Shukla in Patna, Bihar. "My entire family is from Patna and my aunt still lives there. The whole of Bihar is close to our hearts. So it won't be very difficult to work there," says Luv.
A source reveals that the actor is soon going to go on a location-hunting trip to the state and filming will start in early 2014. Ask Luv about using his father's political connections to help in the process and he says, "Since we are from Patna, we have a good idea of the neighbourhoods. However, we will definitely require his (Shatrughan's) support. We understand the position he is in, but we won't misuse it."
Shatrughan may not be actively involved in politics currently, but he has influence in Bihar. He was the first Bollywood actor to become a cabinet minister and had won from the Patna Sahib constituency. Shatrughan has also held the Union Shipping and Health ministries in the past.
