The fact that Shahid Kapoor can shake a leg is well-known and the actor has many hit dance songs to his name. He has even starred in a film based on the art, Chance Pe Dance (2010), and more recently, his steps in ‘Tu mere agal bagal’ were much talked about. Shahid trained under renowned choreographer Shaimak Davar and has been associated with that style of dance for many years. But now that he is working with Prabhu Dheva, who is known more for his rustic style of dancing, in R...Rajkumar, Shahid is working doubly hard to master the new steps.
“Dancing has always been my passion and I always thought of myself as a good dancer, until recently. I had to unlearn everything I know and learn the art all over again from Prabhu sir. His style of dancing is truly different and it was a huge challenge performing with one of the best dancers of all time,” says Shahid.
The actor spent nearly a day in adapting and practicing this new style of dance, since he wanted to be perfect before he faced the camera.
Prabhu Dheva, too, is all praise for the actor. “Shahid is a great dancer and the audiences will see that in ‘Gandi baat’,” he says.
