Shahid Kapoor is set to tie the knot with Delhi girl Mira Rajput, reportedly on July 10. While the preparations are on in full swing, we have found out that the actor has cancelled his bachelor trip to Greece due to his busy schedule.
"Because of his work commitments, Shahid had to cancel the bachelor party, which was being planned by some of his close friends. His friends were disappointed, but Shahid convinced them by promising them that he will make another travel plan with them by the end of this year," says an insider.
The actor is set to make his TV debut as a judge on the dance reality show Nach Baliye, and hence will not be able to squeeze in a trip abroad. "He will start shooting for it in the first week of July. In fact, he will be shooting extra hours to ensure he finishes a major chunk of the episodes before he leaves for his marriage," adds the insider.
Apparently, Shahid will resume shooting within a week of his wedding. "Usually, shooting for TV requires a lot of time. So, after having come on board as a judge on the show, Shahid does not want things to be delayed due to him. He has had meetings with the team, and has chalked out his dates to best suit the schedule," adds the insider.
Apart from this, Shahid is also busy with his other Bollywood projects. "Of late, he has been juggling shoots for his next with director Abhishek Chaubey. He is also reading new scripts, besides talking with the makers of his upcoming film that also stars Alia Bhatt. In addition to that, the wedding arrangements are, of course, taking up most of his time," adds the insider.
Shahid couldn’t be reached for a comment.
