Mumbai, Feb. 26 -- Shahid Kapoor, who shot portions of his hit film Jab We Met (JWM; 2007) in Punjab, will return to the northern state to shoot for director Abhishek Chaubey's next.
"The film's crew is currently in Punjab for a recce. Shahid has been in touch with the production house to stay updated about which cities they are scouting. While locations for Abhishek's movie haven't been locked yet, large portions are likely to be shot in Chandigarh, and its outskirts," says a source. JWM had been shot in Chandigarh and Patiala.
While the content of the two films is very different, the actor is excited about revisiting Punjab. He is currently attending workshops to prepare for his role. "Shahid has extensively read the script, and he recently admitted on a social networking site that this will be one of the toughest roles he has played in his career," adds the source.
While Shahid was unavailable for a comment, his spokesperson confirmed the news.
