Mumbai, Dec. 25 -- Some time ago, we reported that Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha would star together in R Balki's Shamitabh. But the two veteran stars, who haven't worked together since Silsila (1981), aren't likely to have a single scene together.
Now, for the past few days, rumours have been rife that excouple Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor (now Khan) might find themselves in a similar situation.
Apparently, director Abhishek Chaubey, who is making his next with Shahid and Alia Bhatt, has approached Kareena and given her a narration for one of the "pivotal" roles in his film. If the buzz is to be believed, Kareena has liked the role, but is yet to take a call.
Even if she does, audiences might not be able to see her and her former boyfriend in one frame, since they don't have any scenes together.
"As of now, Kareena is officially only doing Kabir Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan. She is yet to take a final call on her next lot of films. So you never know," says a trade insider.
Recently, Shahid made an interesting comment when he told IANS: "I have never said no [to working with Kareena]." The two were in a relationship for many years before breaking up in 2007, after which Kareena was romantically linked to - and later married - Saif Ali Khan.
Shahid and Kareena worked in films like Fida (2004), 36 China Town (2006), Milenge Milenge (2010) and Chup Chup Ke (2006) with Imtiaz Ali's Jab We Met (2007) being their last film together. Despite repeated attempts, neither Kareena nor Abhishek could be reached for a comment.
