Mumbai, March 14 -- In real life, Shah Rukh Khan is used to the life of a superstar - packed schedules, screaming fans, etal. Now, he is set to experience the other side of fanfare, albeit in a film role. In his upcoming film, SRK plays the role of a superstar's die-hard fan for the second time (since Om Shanti Om; 2007).
And the makers are trying to create an authentic setting for his character. To this end, the team has been sourcing copies of old film magazines to use as props. An industry insider reveals, "For Shah Rukh's character, the makers are asking people if they have copies of old film magazines."
The film is being directed by Maneesh Sharma of Band Baaja Baaraat (2010) fame, and the rest of the cast is yet to be finalised. When the movie was announced, SRK had tweeted, "Most of the characters I do are the ones I create... for the first time I am going to play what has created me... I will be in my next a "FAN" (sic)."
However, the schedule of the film has been pushed back due to SRK's health. Rafiq Gangjee, the official spokesperson of the production house, says, "The initial schedule is likely to be delayed by a bit owing to Mr Khan's unfortunate injury."
