New Delhi, Jan. 2 -- The new year has brought in a reason to cheer for actor Shah Rukh Khan's fans in the Capital. Our sources tell us that the Baadshah of Bollywood will be shooting his next film, Fan, in Delhi, in the coming days.
"Shah Rukh will be shooting his next film in Delhi in Jan-end and most of February," says a well-placed source, adding, "The team had wanted to shoot the Delhi portions last year itself, but SRK was busy with the promotions of Happy New Year, and he also got injured. Then, it was way too cold for the crew to begin shooting."
Another source from the production says, "The film will be shot at several places in Delhi, including Old Delhi, Connaught Place and Red Fort. Some scenes may also be shot around Paschim Vihar, where the film's director Maneesh Sharma has lived. The shoot schedule will be for about almost a month. And the team will be in Delhi for the recee soon."
A friend of Maneesh gives us a bit of a trivia about why the filmmaker decided to shoot in the Capital, saying, "While growing up, Maneesh was a big fan of Shah Rukh. So, the movie may have a few autobiographical elements. And Maneesh was an assistant director on SRK-starrer Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008), too."
It's worth mentioning that both Shah Rukh and Maneesh are Delhi boys. While Shah Rukh grew up in Delhi, and his showbiz career started with the television show Fauji, which was also shot in the Capital, Maneesh's family still stays in the city. He shot his debut film, Anushka Sharma-Ranveer Singh starrer Banda Baaja Baaraat in Delhi's Rajouri Garden.
