Mumbai, Dec. 22 -- If what we've heard is true, then Shah Rukh Khan will ring in the New Year in Dubai. The actor, who owns a bungalow in the famous Palm Jumeirah area, is apparently expected to head to the UAE with his family on December 24.
"This trip was planned well in advance. In fact, he knew that he would be in Dubai towards the end of this month even before his last film released," says a source close to the actor.
From Mumbai, Shah Rukh will fly out with his wife, Gauri, and kids Suhana and AbRam. His son, Aryan, who is currently studying in London, UK, will join them directly.
Shah Rukh, meanwhile, has had a busy year and is apparently looking forward to the trip. Apart from shooting for director Farah Khan's Happy New Year, during which he had an accident too, he also went on an extensive tour in the UK and the US with the film's cast. "Even now, he has already started working on his next film that is being produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Maneesh Sharma. So, he wants to take a break and spend some quality time with his family," adds the source.
There was also news of SRK organising a New Year's Eve party for his close friends and family in Dubai. However, the source says there are no formal plans as such. "The doors of his house will be open to those close to him if they wish to come and spend time with him," adds the insider.
