Mumbai, June 6 -- After his team won the Indian Premier League (IPL) for the second time, Shah Rukh Khan is looking to make some changes. It's not in the line-up of his team, but its popular anthem.
The owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) wants to collaborate with music directors Shekhar Ravjiani and Vishal Dadlani to compose the new song. The duo had sung the team's first anthem as well.
Apparently, Twitter got the ball rolling on this collaboration when Shekhar congratulated Shah Rukh online. He tweeted, "Congratulations!!!... (sic)" to which the actor replied, "thank u we need a new anthem now!!!! (sic)."
When contacted, Shekhar confirms the news, saying, "We had been contemplating the idea for some time now. And with the team wowing us with their phenomenal performance, looks like it's time. It's goodd to see that SRK is set to get started on the new anthem."
According to a source, Shah Rukh wants the new versionn to be a celebration of the fun-filled Bengali culture. The tune of the chorus will remain the same, however, the rest of the song will be different, says the insider.
Shekhar adds, "KKR's present anthem 'Korbo, lorbo, jeetbo re' is huge. I can promise that the next one is going to be even bigger, in keeping with the team's outstanding performance year after year."
