Mumbai, Dec. 10 -- It redefined romance in Hindi cinema when it released in 1995, and was a major hit at the box office. Now, on its 20th anniversary, the team of Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ), which marked the directorial debut of Aditya Chopra, will get together to celebrate the landmark.
A source close to the production house that backed the film says, "Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol will come together to mark the completion of 10,000 days of the film at an event on December 12. Just like late film-maker Yash Chopra's 80th birthday was celebrated with a talk session with Shah Rukh asking him questions about his life, this time around, too, SRK and Kajol will be talking about the film, its making and their experiences while shooting for it."
According to the source, the production house is planning to invite the cast and crew of the film for the event.
While Aditya won't be part of the event, his mother Pamela Chopra and wife Rani Mukerji will be attending it on behalf of the production house. "Other details about the event are being finalised, and the makers are working on a few special trailers to mark the date," adds the source.
The spokesperson of the production house confirmed the news, saying, "We want to make it a special evening for everyone associated with the film. It will be a get-together of sorts where Kajol and Shah Rukh will hold the stage and share their memories."
