New Delhi, April 5 -- Actor Saqib Saleem, who made his Bollywood debut in 2011 with Mujhse Fraaandship Karoge, says that he enjoys acting and it has taught him to be fearless. "Since I have become an actor, I have become very relaxed and fearless. I have stopped taking myself seriously. For instance, there's so much that gets written about, but one can't let that go to one's head. I am open to criticism, I take it and work on the suggestions. But that's all," he says.
He adds, "There are so many people who love and notice me. Also, you are the choices you make. So, it's always under your control," says Saleem, who is in the Capital preparing for his character in the upcoming film, which is a remake of Hollywood film, Oculus.
Since there is nothing to lose or fear, he charges ahead with all his heart. "I put in my heart and soul in whatever I do. I try and put my all," he says.
He admits that there is a long way to go, but he is already enjoying his journey. "When people who matter appreciate your work, it's all the worth it. Like, Adi sir (producer Aditya Chopra) dropped me a message saying, 'keep going', after watching Bombay Talkies, it meant the world to me," he smiles.
