New Delhi, Aug. 9 -- Recent reports had suggested that Sanjay Dutt's production house ran into trouble after he went to jail, and that his wife Manyata was having a tough time handling the company. But the Dutts have issued a statement explaining that the reports are untrue and that their projects are still on track.
Their firm had produced Ajay Devgn-Kangana Ranaut-starrer, Rascals (2011), and then signed directors Rohit Shetty, Rajkumar Hirani and Prabhu Dheva for future projects. The films were being handled by Manyata, but reports claimed that they were stalled.
However, Dipti Jindal from the production house, clarifies, "The reports of our production house shutting down are completely untrue. Our projects are smoothly progressing as per our plans, with the film Hasmukh Pighal Gaya looking at a 2015 summer release, and Raju Hirani's film in the scripting stage.
"We have also signed Prabhu Dheva for our other film project. The film is being directed by debutante Sejal Shah. And Rohit's film will go on the floors in 2016."
Another statement issued by Dutt's spokesperson refutes that employees were being asked to leave. It reads, "Reports of people being asked to leave are untrue, as nobody from the production house or the crew has been asked to leave."
