Mumbai, Oct. 25 -- Salman Khan, who is remaking Subhash Ghai's 1983 hit Hero, has been working hard on the project despite having other shooting commitments. The actor is also not ruling out the possibility of playing a cameo role in the film.
"Yes, Salman may make a special appearance but he will primarily be working as the producer of the film," reveals Ghai.
The film-maker further adds that since Salman is very excited about his debut production, he has been trying to do most of the pre-production work himself. He says,"He has been busy laying the groundwork and engaging the technicians. He has even asked me to help him with the music. Even though we have not had the time to meet up, we speak over the phone frequently."
Ghai readily parted with the rights of the film because of the relationship he shares with Salman's family. He clarifies that the film will purely be a Salman Khan Production. "It is being produced only by Salman. He has been nice enough to name me the co-producer," he says.
The news doing the rounds is that Aditya Pancholi's son Sooraj and Suniel Shetty's daughter Athiya will play the lead roles in the film, but Ghai preferred to keep mum about the casting.
